No. A topical numbing agent is applied before micro-needling to prevent pain. Still, the treatment can cause minimal discomfort to areas with deeper imperfections or thinner skin.

Technically, no. But, you may opt for "social downtime" for 24-48 hours. Some redness and swelling are normal for about 24 hours afterward, and you should avoid makeup for about 48 hours. A few days after your treatment, your skin may become dry. Some patients return to work, while others prefer to schedule their treatment over the weekend.

Generally, patients notice tightening and a more even tone to their skin a week or two after their first session. Results can be more subtle for areas with deeper imperfections, and additional treatments are usually required.
